Steps are taken to conduct training programs in order to improve knowledge and attitude of all officers who discharge duties relevant to land subject. In these programs they will be given knowledge of Acts     relevant to land subject and circulars which will be amended from time to time. Necessary action has been taken to train all officers who discharge their duties relevant to land subject in 47 divisional secretariats in southern province.
 

It is planned to distribute 10,000 blocks of land in southern province under 2nd step of distributing 10,000 blocks of land under Mahinda Chinthana Program. As a result of this program 10,000 families of southern province who didn’t get a land license will be given ownership of a land.

A program implemented during 2010 to conduct mobile service in divisional level to reduce the problems of the people of Southern Province arise regarding Lands by conducting Land Kachcheries and provincial days. Main objective of this program to solve problems in divisional level and propose taken by Land Kachcheries will be given in the same days. In addition to that steps will be taken to give new land grants, Inspect relevant reports regarding making of long term lease and solve problems arise regarding lands.
